I had not fully explained that the image, look and feel etc are very important for the human web visitor. I wrote about the subject so that some of the marketing people in the commercial world could make a more informed decision about good websites based on search engine friendly coding as well as the very necessary image/graphic design part.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>The two are not mutually exclusive. Following web standards is important for the search engines, and for the rendering of the page in the browser. But once the user has reached your site you must keep them engaged; you may have the largest range of goods on your shopping site, but if the customer doesn't trust your site then you will lose their custom. This customer isn't reading the code, they are looking at, and interating with the site.

To deny any of these aspects (code, feel, design) is a bad idea.</description>
