Invisible Wedding Tiaras

Such a lovely looking website! Such good looking photography! Such a lot of money spent on these 2 things.

But the beautiful wedding tiaras and other wedding finery on sale will never be found online. They thought they could write their own copy and do their own SEO. When will people realise that copy supports the graphics and not the other way around. With no traffic you get no sales. Do people think Google actually “see” their beautiful website? No, they don’t and neither will thousands of potential clients for these wonderful wedding accessories.

I spoke with the owner many times on many subjects relating to her website and advised her as best I could that saving money on copy writing was a huge mistake. But it fell on deaf ears. Perhaps the budget was spent or she was so in love with her own online image that she reasoned that the copy was not important. It is the core of an online offering for the various reasons I have listed in my previous blog post about SEO not being a bolt-on solution.

Ah well, yet another online failure. Looks lovely but Google won’t like it. No doubt she will now get “conned” into doing some retrospective SEO work with someone else. Rather like putting aviation fuel in a badly built engine, it just won’t perform.

By the way, the site had plenty of keywords stuffed in the appropriate metatags…pity Google don’t use those particular ones any more!
